Prom Season is Couples Season!

GHS prom 2010 was an unforgettable night I'm sure, and I hope that these sneak peak photos keep them just as memorable. What a great group of young people I photographed. They were fun and easy to work with! There is something to be said about the energy and spirit of teens on the verge of the night of their lives.

Meet the photographer: JJ Korczyk

My name is Jessica (Jane) Noll-Korczyk and I have been holding a camera in my hands since the age of 2 (and I have the photo to prove it!) What started out as a hobby, capturing memories in my life, my friends’ lives, turned into something that I love.

I found myself inspired by the everyday beauty of things and started working on what I call ‘fine art’ photography. It’s my true passion, next to capturing the spirit of a person through the eye of the lens. Eventually, I moved on to photojournalism to accompany my writing as a reporter.

To friends, I’m known as Jessie Jane. I have worked in portrait studios, but find that my best work comes alive when I am least expecting it and when my camera is in the sunlight, instead of the studio light.

I started photographing my stepdaughters in 2003 when they were just 6 and 9. Now at 15 and nearly 13, they are still anxious to get outside once a year to get photographed, and to feel like a model. They pose and laugh, and truly enjoy the day with their very own personal photographer. And I love it too. What could be better than a sunny day and two photogenic girls that can’t stop smiling?

That’s why I started JJ Korczyk Photography—it’s fun. And my clients, rather inspirations, have fun during a shoot as well. That’s what creates the memories and that’s what sticks with a photograph, the memory of when and where you were, and what you were doing at the time of the click!
